Objective

A leading financial institution made smart bank easy and convenient to fit into a smartphone by introducing their mobile app. Powered by financial institution, this online mobile app is flexible and totally dependable with its high standards of safety. Apart from driving mobile app downloads, the key objective was to initiate transactions and also upgrade the customers from a wallet stage to opening their savings account with the bank.

Solution

To achieve the end objective of driving customers to open a savings account, this financial institution rolled out 2 offers. An exclusive 15% discount on the 1st transaction for customers buying across Lifestyle & Home categories and a flat Rs.250 off for the ones who open a savings account with them. The offers were promoted through Brand Stories and announcement widgets on Flipkart with the precise details on how to avail the offers.

Outcomes

The campaign led to 18,000 approx transactions on desktop and mobile and close to 5000 savings accounts were opened by Flipkart customers. Through Flipkart Ads, this financial institution was successful in achieving its dual objective facilely. DBS copy
